Privacy notice

This notice explains how E & T Coatings Ltd ("we") uses the personal information you give us, for example when you ask for a quote. We are the data controller for that information under UK data protection law (UK GDPR).

What we collect

When you request a quote or do business with us, we collect your name, company name, email address, phone number and address, details and photos of the items you'd like coated, and any notes you send. If you become a customer we also keep records of your jobs, quotes, invoices and payments.

Why we use it

We use your information to prepare your quote, carry out the work, arrange collection or delivery, invoice you, and get in touch about your job. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, and to perform that contract. We keep financial records because the law requires it.

We don't use your information for marketing unless you've asked us to, and we never sell it.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us run the business: the provider that hosts our website and job system (servers in the United Kingdom), our email provider, and our accountant. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

If you ask for a quote and don't go ahead, we delete your details after 2 years. For customers, we keep job and invoice records for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for tax purposes.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies or any tracking or advertising tools.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, or to stop using it. Contact us using the details below. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
